B was so glad the weather warmed up JUST for the one day she had an all-day outdoor field trip! She made sure to be completely prepared for every eventuality, and had an amazing time!

This was our first visit to the Governor House here in the city. It was wonderful! The kids enjoyed searching for the crowns in the different rooms, dressing in period clothes, and playing in the play room. We loved it. We plan to go back in the Spring or Summer and enjoy a picnic on the grounds.

Our friends, the Halls, organized a fun family games night at the church. There was a good turn out and we had such a great time. We laughed and laughed as we played such hilarious games. I can't wait for the next one!

We have been out skating much more this year than in past years. The girls really love it, and they keep getting better and better! I just need to get myself out there on those skates. My legs don't like the slippery ice, though. They prefer the dry ground.

Time for haircuts! All four girls went to the hair salon for haircuts, and this was the first time to a salon for JJ. She loved it, as did all the girls! I don't blame them. It's such a fun treat to get a new cut and style.

I enjoy sitting in on TJ's voice lessons. Her teacher is just right for her - challenges her, but is kind and encouraging at the same time. I know TJ will flourish with Ailyn teaching her.

We had a fantastic family day! We did the Tunnels of MooseJaw Passage to Fortune tour, then had lunch out, followed by swimming at the YMCA and a buffet dinner. It was fabulous from beginning to end - made even better by spending it with the people I love most!

That enormous smile is completely genuine. This was JJ's first time being invited to a friend's birthday, and it was quite the event! She helped me wrap the gifts and drew a picture in the card. She was so anxious to go and had the time of her young life!

Meet B's first official pets...all hers! She is getting so responsible and eager to show us how she is growing up. We knew it was time. She faithfully feeds these little minnows and makes sure their tank is clean. She is so tender-hearted, she cried when one died a few days after we got them. Seeing as they are meant as feeder fish, we knew they may not last long. However the rest have been doing great! She is so proud of herself for taking care of them.

We love eggs around here. We love 'em boiled, fried, scrambled, in omelets, in fritattas, and in all kinds of baking. It's amazing how these simple little things can nourish in so many forms. WE LOVE EGGS!

TJ is finally starting voice lessons. She has wanted to since she was 3 or 4, and now it's finally happening. She is so excited! I know she will continue to develop her talents and share them with the world!

A brief relief from the cold temperatures allowed the girls to spend some time outside enjoying the snow. They built a cute little snow shelter and spent hours playing in it.

This is one place I could very literally spend hours a day if I let myself. I remember working at a bookstore before I was married and the smell of new books and the sight of those crisp, clean pages still makes me SO happy! I loved getting to know each customer, what their tastes were, when a new book was released they might like - and recommending it! I loved it. I still love being there. I have always loved escaping with a good book!

The girls had a blast at their school friendship dance. They dressed up and rocked out with their buddies to some fun music. TJ worked the canteen and even JJ got to attend for a while with her pre-K class!
