Ever wonder how they get those happy mommy and daddy shots? The photographer sometimes gets a little help!

October and April means 72 Hour kit updates for the next season. "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear."
October 3, 2011
Nothing says autumn better than a school field trip to the local pumpkin patch and corn maze.
October 4, 2011
She may look fuzzy and warm but when the winter hits she's going to need to be ready for Jack Frost's worst!
October 5, 2011
With a long, warm fall and the possibility of winter at anytime a walk in the park is always welcome and a great time to watch the migrating geese.
October 6, 2011
Warm October days & lots of autumn colors means big smiles in our family!
October 7, 2011
With Grandma and Grandpa in town for Thanksgiving, the festivities started with Al Capones underground bootlegging tunnels in Moose Jaw. With live actors, moving walls, sound effects and authentic props (like his own bullet proof office chair) its a very entertaining experience.
October 8, 2011
With lots of catching up to do with Grandma and Grandpa after their trip to the Mediterranean and Grandpa's trip to England, the girls decided to construct gruesome chalk outlines on the sidewalk.
October 9, 2011
After a wonderful Sunday of church and walk at the Legislative building, we got in a quick photoshoot. Looking good Elder and Sister Grunewald! They manage the LDS Church welfare food warehouse in Calgary.
October 10, 2011
With Grandma and Grandpa heading home after a wonderful weekend, our focus is now turned to Halloween! Let the spooky-ness begin!!
October 11, 2011
'Grandma and Grandpa' Gehmlich dropped off some yummy Halloween treats.
October 12, 2011
You may have noticed this with your own kids that when you keep feeding them, they keep growing! This little one is getting to be double her original size but she still keeps that cuteness!
October 13, 2011
This has been one of the longest autumn seasons in recent memory and that means lots of beautiful colours to enjoy.
October 14, 2011
You'd think in Canada with the number of months of the year with ice and snow and freezing temperatures that Slurpee's wouldn't be very popular but au contraire - they are huge in all seasons of the year. We super-love them!
October 15, 2011
The only time of the year that comes close to the excitement of Christmas and birthdays at this house is BOOK ORDER TIME! The kids love new books and how can you say no to kids wanting to read more books.
October 16, 2011
What can be better than cream cheese oreo truffles with chocolate sause and sprinkles?
- not much!!!
October 17, 2011
After getting the Halloween decorations up, the next step is pumpkin carving time.
October 18, 2011
You may have noticed in these pictures of the backyard there is a large, white thing that doesn't belong. There are two reasons: 1.) a washing machine is in the backyard 2.) it looks like new because it is not very old. Unfortunately transmissions are expensive in vehicles and appliances and so it was cheaper to toss the old and get new then replace parts. Next stop: the dump.
October 19, 2011
The girls church group wrote, directed and played in a stage production about missionary work in the LDS Church. It was well done and everyone did a great job. They even had pets roles that helped steal the show for cuteness and humour.

JJ loves school. Even though she is now in Kindergarten, she's been going to school for 2 years already in Pre-school so she knows the teachers, schedule and all the fun things to do in the classroom. Being an expert now she is a great help to the other kids just getting started.
October 21, 2011
The creativity in this house is never lacking at any level whether it is music, drawing, playing, scrapbooking, sewing, photography and dog-run construction (that one is dads!).
October 22, 2011
Halloween party time! Church class party included pumpkin carving, mummy wrapping, photo-scavenger hunt, trampoline jumping and tonnes of snacks! Super fun.
October 23, 2011
One of the reasons the house is hard to keep clean is the kids love to collect things and bring them inside! We have rocks, leaves, flowers, sticks and whatever else is sitting around outside (which sometimes means garbage!)
October 25, 2011
More fall fieldtrips means more fun adventures. TJ was certainly glad to find her very own rotting carcass! and even more happy to pose with it!
October 26, 2011
We love suspenseful, thrillers with lots of action, a great story and no sex or bad language. Date night out we finally saw this movie that we'd wanted to see for a long time and it was well worth the wait. They did a great job on this one.
October 27, 2011
I think with all the primping, hair products, blow drying and curling that go on in our room we need to renovate the house and put in a studio dressing room with four seats and lights around all the mirrors. That way mom can can move down the line and get all of our little princesses ready for their debuts whether its church, a party or school play.
October 28, 2011
The rules of our faith limit going to dances until you're 14 years old and for very good reason, but being a part of it can still be fun even in snack sales out in the hallway!
October 28, 2011
PARTY TIME!! Halloween has got to be one of the funnest holidays of the year and with a house full of girls and friends all dressed up in their best costumes we had a blast. The brain jello and eyeballs floating in the drinks were a hit!
October 29, 2011
The annual Trunk n Treat in the church parking lot allows kids to get lots of safe candy, stay out of the streets at night and see all their church friends costumes. There was no snow but the wind was cold but we managed to get rid of all our sweet inventory.
October 30, 2011
So October has come to an end, we've had phenomenal weather for this late in the fall and after 2.5 hours of Trick or Treating, we got enough candy to last us through Armageddon!
